Rebecca, BA (Hons) MBACP
Hello, I'm Rebecca. I am a Person-Centred Counsellor, qualifying in 2012 with a Foundation Degree. I went on to complete my BA (Hons) in Counselling in 2018. I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and abide by the BACP Ethical Framework at all times.
I joined Serenity Counselling Services in 2017 as a volunteer Counsellor and am now a member of the Senior Management Team and Board of Directors. As well as working with clients, I assist in the day to day running of the organisation, complete assessments of new clients and manage the waiting list.
I have experience supporting clients ranging from 16 – 92 years old, who are experiencing a variety of difficulties. I am currently working with clients who are struggling with anxiety, depression, gender issues, trauma, bereavement, abuse and various Personality Disorders, to name a few. I deliver counselling using the person-centred approach, whilst integrating techniques and skills learnt and developed through supervision and CPD. Some of the CPD courses that I have recently completed include: Dissociation and DID: The Fundamentals; Working with Dissociative Disorders in Clinical Practice; Dealing with Distress: Working with Suicide and Self-Harm; Working with Relational Trauma: Dealing with Disorganised Attachment; Treating Trauma, Complex PTSD and Dissociative Disorders and a Certificate in Couples Counselling.
